20 years ago I bought a Mac SE
It occurred to me recently that 20 years ago in 1987, I bought a Macintosh SE and a 300/1200 baud modem for $2800! If I remember correctly, it had 2MB of ram and a 20MB hdd (a miniscribe with the big stepper motor on the side) although according to this site

my memory may be wrong since they say the original SE was $3700 with an 8Mhz 68000, 1MB of ram and the 20MB hdd. Maybe I put $1000 cash down and paid 2800 on credit, I honestly can’t remember.
At the time, the IBM PC had 640k ram with extended memory available that required bank switching to access the additional memory, where the Mac SE had a flat memory model all the way to 4MB. I remember buying 2MB of ram for it for $700 in 1990 when memory prices hit the highest point in history. That brought me up to 4MB! I could run anything I wanted at the same time!
So not so long ago I purchased a MacBook Pro 2.33Ghz Core 2 Duo, with 2GB of ram, a 120GB hdd for less money than the Mac SE at the time. It’s funny how the price of a quality computer stays approximately the same while the amount of technology you get for that price sure changes, especially after 20 years.
